The best time to book depends on the type of trip you’re planning. Some specialty journeys, such as around-the-world cruises, expedition voyages, or unique rail itineraries, may need to be booked 18–24 months in advance. Popular cruises and custom itineraries often benefit from booking 9–18 months ahead, while many all-inclusive vacations are best booked 6–8 months before departure.
In general, booking earlier gives you the greatest choice of dates, accommodations, cabin categories, flights, and pricing. During our planning process, we’ll recommend the ideal booking timeline based on your specific trip and travel goals.

During this conversation, we’ll explain how we work, recommend the best planning approach for your trip, and let you know if any Professional Service Fees may apply before any planning begins. Document requirements vary depending on your destination and nationality. In most cases, you’ll need a valid passport, and some countries also require visas, electronic travel authorizations, vaccinations, or other entry documentation. We’ll help you understand the requirements for your trip, but it’s your responsibility to ensure you have the correct documents before you travel.

Your travel documents will be provided electronically through our Travel App whenever possible, giving you easy access to your itinerary, confirmations, and important travel information in one convenient place. Some suppliers also require their own mobile apps for boarding passes, cruise documents, or tickets, and we’ll let you know if additional downloads are recommended.

Professional Service Fees allow us to dedicate the time, expertise, and research needed to plan and coordinate your trip. Because every journey is different, fees vary depending on the scope and complexity of the services requested. Any applicable fees will always be discussed with you before planning begins.

Travel prices are dynamic and can change at any time based on factors such as availability, demand, seasonality, exchange rates, and supplier pricing. Airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators regularly adjust their prices as inventory is sold.
For this reason, a quote is only valid at the time it is provided. If you’re happy with your travel plans, we recommend booking promptly to secure the best available price and availability.

In many cases, yes—but it’s important to compare apples to apples. The lowest advertised price may have different fare rules, room categories, inclusions, cancellation policies, or booking conditions. We’ll always do our best to compare equivalent options so you can make an informed decision.
Because travel prices change constantly, repeatedly repricing the same trip in search of small savings isn’t always practical or beneficial. Our focus is on finding the best overall value for your travel experience, not simply the lowest price at a single moment in time.
